Custom Furniture Design

This is where things can get interesting. The sky is the limit when it comes to custom designs built from scratch. I try to build all my pieces around a few core principles. I strive to show off the wood, mix the old with the new, and ensure colours and textures complement each other. If you have a need or a design in mind, or perhaps want a little help with the concept, I am here to make it a reality. Otherwise take a look through some of my existing builds and then give me some dimensions to play with.

Shelving - Live edge, reclaimed boards, antique barn wood, all complemented with copper and steel metal work. Can be free standing or wall mounted, or even something in-between.

Tables & Desks - Full live edge slabs, ranging from thick gauge boards to eclectic salvaged options, all available on any leg type from tube to square, wood to metal.

Coffee tables & stools - Live edge wood rounds that are unique cross sections through a trees life, carefully cut and finished for durability. Or, how about reclaimed boards hand stitched with copper wire, check out some of my past projects to see what I mean.

Lighting - From hanging fixtures using sea scoured driftwood and grainy slabs, to desk and corner lamps that make a statement. Give me a brief and I will build something that is truly a one of a kind.

Work Place Installations

From cafes to start-ups, co-working spaces to personal offices I design and install durable, interesting furniture with personality. Whether it is high top bars, shared tables or individual desks I work alongside you to determine a cost effective yet inspiring way to deck out your day-to-day environment.

Wood Sourcing and Preparation

Are you looking to get stuck into your own building project but don’t want to buy the tools, and maybe can’t finish the wood to the standard you are looking for? Or is finding the wood itself proving difficult? I can source the perfect wood slabs, sand them through the reducing grades, and then colour or coat to your specifications. I will also be happy to act as a sounding board throughout your next steps.
