Project Costing - How and how much do I charge?
The pricing for each individual project or unique piece of furniture is built up from several key components with the end goal of having a range of affordability for everyone’s budget. I want to get more natural wood products into people’s homes, so let’s work together on something that makes sense for you. The changeable parameters below will determine the end price, each being adaptable to get us where we need to be.
Materials - The type, size, thickness, quality and quantity of wood and other materials will of course effect the total project cost. I will run you through the options of what is available at the time and what will work for your application as part of the quote process. Just remember:
Labour - Complex designs, more material, harder wood, higher qualities or demands of the finish will all increase the time it takes to deliver the end product. For single furniture pieces I will only quote a total cost for the item, for larger carpentry builds I will apply an hourly rate to each labour portion of the build:
Logistics - I also offer both a delivery and installation service on all larger items at a pre-arranged fee that depends on distance and complexity. If you are investing in something unique it makes sense to have it arrive safe and put up correctly, where you get to enjoy it most.
